Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the 18th Qom Handwoven rug Exhibition was opened with the presence of officials, artists, producers and enthusiasts of the authentic art of persian rug. At the ceremony, the head of the Qom Handwoven rug Producers Union announced the improvement of the international status of Qom rug, but emphasized the challenges and the need for support from the private sector and the government. The head of the economic deputy of the governorate pointed out the importance of the permanent handwoven rug exhibition for the development of the province's economy. The representative of Qom in the parliament also emphasized the need to enact laws facilitating the production and export of handwoven rug. At the end, five pioneers of this art were honored
